In 2021, I moved back to Tekamah after being gone for approximately 25 years. My husband, Joe, and I are both alums of Tekamah-Herman High School. We have three sons (Drew, Austin, and Griffin) who grew up spending a lot of time in Tekamah visiting family and friends. My father owned Larry’s Body Shop for 35 years, my mother worked in the Burt County Assessor’s office, my father-in-law was a local farmer, and my mother-in-law was a first-grade teacher within the Tekamah-Herman School District. Joe and I have always desired to be a part of a small community and provide our children with a similar upbringing as we had. After the COVID pandemic, our jobs allowed us to work remote and that is when we chose to move back to Tekamah. Since moving back, it has been wonderful to see the improvements and changes that have been made including the extensive renovations at the school and library, new businesses along main street, and a new pool.

I look forward to helping the Tekamah Chamber of Commerce continue making a positive impact for the community, its businesses, residents, and visitors.
